Exciting changes for Bates and Wintec Saddles in the US and UK

15 January 2017:

Bates Australia is excited to announce that from 1 May, retailers will be able to buy Bates and Wintec saddles directly from their team of knowledgeable saddle experts, led by Ellen Bates. Their new company, called Saddlery Brands International, will have offices and showrooms based in Oxfordshire and in King of Prussia, PA in the United States.

We are inspired by the successes achieved internationally, where our knowledgeable saddle experts have been empowered to support retailers directly. We are convinced our customer service driven approach, saddle fitting advice, industry leading training programmes and community focused strategies will work in conjunction with extensive marketing support to generate strong sales growth for our brands and look forward to sharing our vision with retailers at the upcoming BETA and AETA trade shows.” Ron Bates, Managing Director, Bates Australia.

The change shows a commitment to retailers within this service driven equestrian category requiring a higher level of knowledge, advice and after sales service than most products.

High performance Bates saddles and easy-care Wintec saddles have earned a reputation for excellence and innovation with many patented creative solutions for optimising rider and horse performance. In particular, their fitting and adjustment systems have been commended for their ability to optimise horse comfort and minimise potential strain, or damage to horses. The technology in their saddles offer many advantages that enhance the saddle ownership experience and has seen them become a household name across all disciplines and levels. Notably, they have long been the brands of choice for Isabell Werth, who again won gold at the Olympics in 2016, making her the most successful Olympic equestrian of all time and all achieved in a Wintec Saddle.

Bates Australia have thanked Weatherbeeta, their valued distribution partner in the UK and US markets, for their work with the Bates and Wintec brands over many years. Weatherbeeta continues to be the distributor for Bates and Wintec Saddles until 30 April 2017.

Retailers can view the full Bates and Wintec ranges at the BETA and AETA International Trade Shows where Ron, Ellen and their team would be delighted to meet with you personally on their stand to tell you more about these exciting changes.
